Below you will find answers to our most frequently asked questions, sorted by theme.
Yes… and no. Live Cinema is a Story Room: an escape game blended with immersive theatre. An experience where the story is the central element.
What’s it like? 120 minutes of gameplay, several actors who will interact with you, 550 m2 of play space, 25 different rooms, wow effects every 5 minutes, and sets like you’ve never seen before.
But more than that, Live Cinema is an ambition and a totally brand-new concept: letting you live a film in which you are the hero.
You start in a cinema room, and you’ll finish in a cinema room. But in between, for 120 minutes, you’ll be plunged into the heart of the film: a blockbuster, kind of like Mission Impossible, except the team accompanying Ethan Hunt is yours!
The first film offered by Live Cinema is called Zone 51.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: manage to infiltrate the most secret and most secure base in the world, to get your hands on a mystery that could change the course of humanity.
Yes! Live Cinema is an experience featuring actors, so it is essential to follow the rules below to ensure the safety of players and the technical team:
– No violent gestures, actions, or words towards anyone or the equipment
– No physical contact with the actors, unless you have been invited to do so by one of the actors during the experience
– Follow the actors’ instructions
– Do not come under the influence of alcohol
Failure to comply with these rules will result in the immediate interruption of the activity.
We offer you the chance to live a story in which you are the hero. Whatever your team’s level, you are guaranteed to experience the story in its entirety. After all, would you want to watch an incredible film if the last 20 minutes had been cut in editing?
In our experience, the difficulty adapts in real time depending on players’ progress. Whether you’re escape game beginners or experts, we guarantee a 100% level-appropriate experience. Not too hard, not too easy. Just right!
The full adventure lasts around 2h15, made up of 2 hours of gameplay and 15 minutes of debrief.
However, unlike a classic escape game, you won’t find a timer or a record.
We focus on the story. The goal is to offer you a real experience—a film in which you are the hero—not a race.
No, absolutely not!
Zone 51, the very first film offered by Live Cinéma, is not an experience designed to scare you. Some moments may surprise you depending on each person’s sensitivity, but Zone 51 is clearly not a “horror” experience.
In Zone 51, the first film offered by Live Cinema, audio, videos, documents—everything has been carefully translated to welcome English-speaking players.
However, given the presence of actors (not all 100% English-speaking), only certain sessions can be played in English. To book an English session, send us an email via the contact form to find out the available time slots.
The minimum age to play is 15.
Live Cinema reserves the right to refuse access to the session in the event of non-compliance with the rules in force.
Our first film, Zone 51, can be played in teams of 3 to 6 players.
To guarantee total immersion and real gameplay intensity, it will not be possible to come as 7 to play a single session.
If you are 7 or more, you can however book multiple time slots directly on our booking platform. We therefore invite you to split into two teams of 3 and 4: immersion will be guaranteed and your experience will only be better!
Our first film, Zone 51, is offered to teams of 3 to 6 players. If, however, you ABSOLUTELY want to play as a pair, send us your request by email.
No, not at all!
Zone 51 can be played as a private group of 3 to 6 players. So you will only meet your own team members during your adventure (in addition to the actors, of course).
You won’t be mixed with other groups or players you don’t know.
Zone 51, Live Cinema’s first film, is a 120-minute experience that includes several slightly physical moments.
Don’t worry, nothing too intense, but some team members may sometimes need to climb, kneel, crawl in slightly tight spaces, or step over certain obstacles.
However, only some team members will need to do these actions, which makes them not mandatory if you’re not able to do them.
Also, since the experience takes place over 550m2, you’ll need to move around more than in a more classic escape game. Again, we’re not talking about running a marathon, but you’ll definitely have hit your 10,000 steps by the end of the experience—trust us!
Our prices vary depending on the number of players and are degressive: the more of you there are, the better the price per player.
Prices start from €49 incl. VAT/player. These prices are justified both by the presence of 3 professional actors, and by the duration of the experience (2 hours of gameplay, i.e. twice as long as a classic escape game).
Payment is made directly online on our secure platform by bank card (except American Express).
Of course!
If you book a mission in 10 days or more, it’s possible to split the payment between participants! Just choose the “Split payment” option and pay a first share. You will then have 24 hours for all participants to pay their share and definitively confirm the booking.
If the total amount is not reached within 24 hours, the booking will be cancelled and a credit note automatically sent to all participants who paid their share.
No, all bookings are made exclusively online on our website.
You can book a time slot by paying a 50% deposit of the session price.
When you arrive on site, you will need to pay the remaining balance to start your session. This deposit is non-refundable. If you do not show up on the day of your session, Live Cinema will keep this deposit.
Of course, it’s absolutely possible to add one or more players, as long as the total number of players does not exceed the room limit (6 players maximum).
You’ll just need to pay the difference directly on site, just before starting your session.
It is not possible to cancel a booking. However, it is possible to reschedule it if the booking is more than 7 days away. Send an email to the contact inbox to let us know your request.
An invoice is automatically sent to you by email after your game session (as an attachment to the end-of-session email, sent the day after your game session). If you have any questions or need changes to the invoice, contact us at contact@livecinema.fr
All bookings are made online via our website (via our booking calendar available on our homepage and on the Book page) using our secure PayZen payment system.
All available time slots are displayed in real time on our booking calendar. If a time slot appears unavailable, it means it has already been booked.
If you encounter a problem during your booking, you can of course contact us by email at contact@livecinema.fr
Tickets are not named, so you can find a “replacement” up until the day! However, no refund or voucher can be issued.

On the day, don’t be early and don’t be late… just like at the cinema!
At Live Cinema, there’s no need to arrive too early on the day of your session—we’ll be expecting you right on time! At the same time, please don’t arrive late, as any delay will unfortunately impact the length of your session.Plan for around 2h15 (135 minutes) on site.
The session is broken down as follows:
– 120 minutes of gameplay
– 15 minutes of debrief
To fully enjoy your session, please arrive at the time indicated when you booked, no more than 10 minutes early, and please avoid any delay.
In case of delay, certain sequences of the experience will be removed so as not to impact the following groups.
Please note: a delay of more than 30 minutes may prevent us from being able to welcome you.
In short, you’ve got it: try to be on time. Just like at the cinema!
The experience was designed to be suitable for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users so they can enjoy the highest-quality experience possible.
However, some adjustments are necessary ahead of your session. You are therefore asked to call us or send us an email before making your booking, so we can define everything that needs adapting, depending on your disability.
Throughout the experience, an actor will accompany you and will be the guiding thread of the story in which you are the hero. This actor is not trained in sign language.
It is therefore essential that your team always includes at least one player who is not in a situation of hearing impairment.
Unfortunately, our experience is not currently suitable for a team made up of visually impaired people.
Zone 51 is strongly not recommended for pregnant women. At certain moments, the experience requires climbing or squeezing through tight spaces, which poses a risk for a pregnant woman.
Zone 51 is strongly not recommended for people with heart conditions as well as people suffering from claustrophobia.
The experience requires, at certain moments, using a (fictional) freight elevator as well as other relatively confined means of transport.
Zone 51 is not allowed for people with epilepsy, due to the presence of strobe lighting and particularly intense pulsing light effects throughout the experience.
If you have any doubts, and for more information, don’t hesitate to contact us beforehand—we’ll prepare your visit to Live Cinema together.
